an update on covid-19 from Coco bay resort noosa

25 March 2020

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we wish to reassure all our guests and those thinking of visiting Coco Bay Resort that your health and wellbeing is paramount to us.

Our resort remains open for those still requiring accommodation. We’re implementing a variety of measures to ensure our guest and staff safety and adhering to all Government advice and guidelines.

Cleaning

We’re following all Government Health guidelines to ensure our cleaning and hygiene practices are of the highest standard. We already use commercial-grade disinfectant for interior cleaning as standard procedure but we are being extra vigilant and regularly disinfecting common areas including the Reception counter and shared pens. We are also cleaning down outdoor common areas with a mixture of disinfectant and methylated spirits daily. This includes the pool furniture, BBQ area and seating, sauna etc.

We ask all our guests to please practice good hygiene and wash your hands with soap regularly, as frequently as every 20 minutes or after coming in contact with a shared or public area.

Social distancing

We are adhering to the recommended social distancing rules of 1.5m between people and this applies inside the Reception area as well we have spaced the pool lounges for your comfort.

Booking spacing

Due to the virus’ being able to live on surfaces for up to 2-3 days we’re implementing extra measures. We are now staggering bookings 3 days apart for each of our Villas where possible to further reduce the risk of any surface spread between guest stays.

Our small resort is limited in its capacity and therefore have a small number of guests at any given time. We continue to offer clean, comfortable, self-contained townhouse-style accommodation surrounded by tropical gardens.
