Coco Bay Resort Noosa

Where to stay? Coco Bay Resort Noosa, of course!

Just a short stroll from the sandy beaches of the Noosa River and set in the midst of tropical gardens, you will find the very best family friendly accommodation in Noosa at Coco Bay Resort. Rise with the whipbirds and laughing kookaburras that make their home in the coastal bushlands of the sand dunes and enjoy breakfast in the courtyard of your townhouse.

Our well presented, fully self-contained, spacious townhouses allow for a private retreat for two, a place to unwind and relax after a day of activity, or a fun sanctuary for the kids to play outside on the lovely grassed areas. It truly is a hidden treasure.

Conveniently located within metres from the exquisite Noosa River and perfectly situated in the heart of Noosaville, access to the nearby ferry and farmer’s markets are in walking distance whilst Hastings St and Noosa Main Beach are a breeze with local transportation right at your doorstep.

Things to see and do

River or beach. Take your pick.

Noosa Main Beach and the pristine bays of Noosa National Park often get the lion’s share of attention but the Noosa River is not to be overlooked. Pack a picnic courtesy of the Noosa Farmer’s Market and book a fabulous 2 hour sunset cruise with the team at Noosa River & Canal CruisesSit back and bask in the magic of a Noosa sunset from the best vantage point in town. Aboard an eco-friendly boat, you will enjoy sweeping views from every seat as our skippers entertain you with the perfect mix of Noosa stories and cruisy music.

For something a little more adventurous, during the day, Eco Noosa aims to bring entertainment, style, and exercise in an environmentally friendly way to people visiting the Noosa River foreshore. It’s serious fun for the whole family. From hiring a picnic boat to kayaks or SUP boards, hovercraft and jetskis, Eco Noosa offers a unique selection of eco-friendly water sports equipment that are sure to give you and your family an adrenaline-fuelled experience on the river.

Go surfing

Hire a board from our friends Golden Breed and head to the beach for a surf or if you are not already a skilled surfer consider taking a lesson.

Enjoy a walk in nature

Hike the Coastal track along the edge of Noosa National Park, for breathtaking views and a high chance of seeing koalas, dolphins, sea turtles and whales (during May to September). Wear your swimmers for a splash in the fairy rock pools. There are many tracks to hike back through the National Park or you can walk right over the headlands, along Alexandria bay to Sunshine Beach. Pop in to the local Noosa Surf Club for a delicious meal with a view!

Cruise or Kayak ancient Noosa Everglades

An early start is essential to experience the wilderness in the Noosa Everglades. There are a few options to discover the river of mirrors that makes up part of the Cooloola National Park which is recognised as a “Wetland of International Importance”.

A full-day cruise deep into the dark, tranquil mirrored waters of the Upper Noosa River gives you the option to canoe through ancient landscapes with captivating reflections creating a sensation that you are paddling in the sky. An Aussie BBQ lunch and interactive boat cruise home with a keen eye for many of the bird species that reside within this spectacular region.

A full day guided or self-guided kayak tour with Kanu Kapers is an awe inspiring adventure into the heart of the Noosa Biosphere. On guided tours, a scrumptious morning tea and lunch are provided. If you have your own Kayaks or Canoes – load them up, leave in the dark and drive to Harrys Hut, pack a picnic and paddle north through the mirrored waterway, hike to the Cooloola Sand Patch (with some cardboard for sand tobogganing) keeping an eye out for dingoes in their native habitat.

Top off the day with a swim or spa at Coco Bay Resort Noosa!

Dining out

Dining out in Noosa has always been a gastronomic delight. There’s so many incredible eateries. We’ve done the hard work for you and narrowed it down to our picks within walking distance to Coco Bay Resort Noosa.

Sum Yung Guys is nestled at the corner of Weyba Road. The moment you walk through the front door you’ll feel the energy and enthusiasm that resonates through every aspect of this restaurant. From the friendly and professional staff who’ll greet you, to the carefully designed dining area that has been styled to capture the personalities of the four partners who started it all.  Everything seems right. Take a seat and prepare yourself for an onslaught of delicious flavours, mind-blowing textures, outstanding service and an excellent list of cocktails. The menu has been designed to promote share-style dining, which means that it’s strongly encouraged to dine with friends, and family.

Combining two things we love most.. coffee and pampering. FINE Espresso Bar and Simplistic Spa offer a small range of beverages, treats and treatments; to the highest quality. And, best of all this gorgeous space is walking distance from Coco Bay Resort Noosa!

250 Grammi Food & Wine Bar offers an authentic Italian share-style menu, matched by an equally impressive wine list. Try our favourites; Potato croquette with truffle and pink pepper mascarpone. The beef tenderloin tartare, with a hint of chilli, raspberry gel, and gorgonzola melts. Or, if you are looking for seafood, try the grilled Mooloolaba prawns, fresh fennel, citrus fruit salad, honey, and ginger vinaigrette. Whether you are looking for a casual lunch for two or a night out with friends, 250 Grammi Food & Wine Bar will not disappoint, great food, wine, and atmosphere.

Situated just next door is a long-time local favourite. Tucked away from Noosa River, Mr Jones & Me, offers a casual yet sophisticated space to relax in day or night. The menu is designed around classic bistro food served with a modern twist. Whether for share plates, burgers, salads or high-end bistro classics, there’s something for you.
