Jo & Jason moved to Noosa last year from Brisbane to take over the management of Coco Bay Resort. They left their professional careers behind to take a chance and try something new. They’ve spent many years visiting Noosa and know the place well – it’s where they feel most relaxed and happy and so when the opportunity arose, they knew this was the perfect place to begin a new chapter in their life.
Jo comes from a background of 13 years as a project manager in geospatial science, working for a consultancy in the Brisbane CBD. Jason worked in a Queensland government department for 18 years.
“We had both reached a stage in our careers where we felt like we were ready to make a choice of either staying with the familiar or taking a chance and trying something completely new. Jason knew people in the management rights industry and was interested in trying it as a new career – it was new to me but I felt confident with my transferable skills from project management. We both spent years visiting Noosa and knew that if we were going to take this risk, we wanted to do it here and nowhere else,” said Jo.
Jason and Joanne come to Coco Bay Resort with their special friend, Buddy who is a favourite among guests making them feel right at home as soon as they arrive.
“Buddy spent most of his life not liking water and can be a bit shy at first because he was a rescue dog.”
“The Noosa dog beach is the first place Buddy ever happily waded into water and played with his tennis ball. Now he feels right at home at Coco Bay and seeing him so happy here sealed the deal for Jason and I to make the move to Noosa.”
