It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! At Coco Bay Resort we are here, ready for you to unwind beachside, to rejuvenate under a waving palm tree, plunge into our cool, sparkling pool and sip on a refreshing beverage, under a billion stars. Our team are so excited to welcome back our interstate guests as Queensland borders open from mid-December 2021, please ensure you’ve read and understand the Qld Government border guidelines.

To help the family get the into the Christmas spirit while on holiday this Summer of 2021/22, here are our top festive picks to see and do around Noosa and the Sunshine Coast.

Christmas on Hastings Street

A magical experience, unique to Noosa is the iconic Hastings Street tree, wander the fashion precinct under trees lit up by hundreds of fairy lights. Soak up the festive atmosphere, meet Santa on the beach, enjoy Christmas inspired pop-up performances and roaming street performers, musicians, acrobats, elves and more.

Sunset Tunes

Visit Hastings Street, a renowned paradise of chic shopping – buzzing with galleries, homeware, coffee, dining and spectacular fashion. Celebrate the festive holiday vibe with local musos as they wander and entertain in various locations along this famous street.

Noosa Junction Twilight Markets

Just a few minutes from your stay at Coco Bay Resort, join locals to explore Noosa Junction village as it comes alive at twilight to the sounds of live music, set against a backdrop of spectacular street art and artisan stalls. Wander laneways filled with delicious local eats and pop-up bars all under the sparkle of fairy lights.

Christmas Eve Farmers Market

Noosa Farmers Market have a special Christmas Eve market for those last-minute Christmas goodies, pick up local homemade preserves or jams, cured meats, Noosa chocolate, fresh seafood, fruit and produce or relax and soak up the market atmosphere with a morning pastry and delicious coffee.

Christmas at the Ginger Factory

Christmas comes to the Ginger Factory in Yandina.

See Santa in his workshop every day until Christmas Eve, and there’s a free Santa gift for children. View the beautiful Christmas display and shop for great Aussie Christmas gifts at the retail shops. The Ginger Factory is great for little ones, a family favourite loved by locals and visitors alike.

Wander the relaxed and inviting 9 hectares of lush sub-tropical gardens, grab a coffee and choose from the mouth-watering ginger-inspired recipes baked in-house while the kids have fun on the shaded playground.

Don’t miss a ride aboard 100-year-old ‘Moreton’, a sugar cane train that once used to carry sugar cane to the Moreton Sugar Mill in Nambour. A fun Overboard boat ride tour is an adventure around the ‘world’, as passengers join the gingerbread man in a classic tale as he escapes the clutches of the hungry chefs.

Peregian Beach Carols

Follow the coast road south for 15 minutes and you’ll discover Peregian Beach Village. Peregian Beach is a vibrant village-style community sitting beside a flawless, patrolled surf beach. The eclectic community will come together to celebrate Christmas to enjoy live music and carols from local bands, soloists and duos, entertainment for kids, food and artisan stalls, an amazing light show and a special visit from Santa and his Elves.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks on Noosa River

As the last day of the year begins to fade, stroll to Noosa River to capture the last rays of sunset and settle in to enjoy the sparkle of fireworks over the water along Noosaville. A beautiful and relaxed way to see the New Year in with a picnic rug, family and friends, or book dinner at one of the restaurants along Gympie Terrace.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Noosa Marina

See the New Year in overlooking the beautiful Noosa Marina. Free entry to Noosa Marina, with live music from 8pm. Book for dinner at one of the riverfront restaurants or enjoy relaxed dining riverside with fresh fish and chips.
