The road to welcoming you back to Noosa

We’re coming out the other side of the coronavirus bubble – cautiously and with patience. We’ve all done so well being cooped up in our homes over the past few months while we ride this virus out. And now we’re pleased to have a roadmap to begin reopening our doors and welcoming you back to Noosa.

We love our Noosa home and we would be lying if we said we hadn’t enjoyed having it all to ourselves 😉  but it’s time we start sharing Noosa with you again. It will take some more time before Noosa can reopen to everyone but for now, we’re welcoming guests from within our surrounding region.

Check out our amazing reopening specials for June/July, including the school holiday period.

We’ve also shared below some ideas on what you can do in Noosa during your stay.

The roadmap to reopening

UPDATE: This post was updated on 3 June to coincide with the Queensland Governments changes to Stage 2 restrictions.

Queenslanders – we welcome you!

The Queensland Government has released their roadmap to easing restrictions. This sets out how as a state we will begin to reopen over three stages. Stage 2 of the roadmap starts with unlimited travel for Queenslanders to enjoy our great state. From Tuesday 2 June to 9 July, Queenslanders can take a drive holiday for recreation and stay at holiday accommodation.

We’re not sure yet when the Queensland borders will reopen but as soon as they do, we’d love to see more of you here.

Guest and staff health remains paramount. We’ll still be adhering to social distancing and other Covid-safe guidelines from the Australian Government. Personal responsibility if you’re feeling unwell and hygiene is also important. Please read our tips on staying safely while staying in Noosa.

Noosa experiences you can enjoy

There are many experiences you can enjoy in Noosa even while practicing social distancing. Many activities will be back up and running in time for when you visit. And while our small businesses get back on their feet, they need you now more than ever – right across Queensland. Social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the many activities on offer. From dining out in world-class restaurants to horse riding on the beach, below are just a few ideas of the experiences you could enjoy when you return to Noosa.

Horse riding on the lake or beach

Noosa Horse Riding on Lake Weyba

Horse riding in Noosa is different to any other trail ride you’ve taken. Enjoy a relaxing ride through Lake Weyba and take in the beauty of an unspoilt wilderness right on Noosa’s doorstep. Look out for stingrays, kangaroos, goannas and the abundant birdlife in and around the lake. Or choose their beach ride on the Noosa North Shore and take in the picturesque views back to Noosa while you ride along the beach. Whichever memorable ride you choose with Noosa Horse Riding, be ready to get wet and fall in love with their horses.

Explore Noosa’s natural wonders

Noosa is renowned for its world-class dining, boutique shopping strip and pristine white sandy beaches. But there’s so much more to love! We live in a UNESCO listed biosphere reserve which means our natural landscape provides an abundance of wildlife, stunning scenic drives and nature-based activities. From stunning coastal and rainforest treks in the Noosa National Park to kayaking the Noosa Everglades, be inspired by the natural wonders Noosa has to offer.

Noosa Oceanrider

Oceanrider is Noosa’s original ocean tour company and consistently voted the best. An ocean thrill ride, dolphin or whale tour is a must-do experience on your list of things to do during your visit in Noosa. Everyone gets a ‘window seat’ on the 12-seater boat and a personalised experience that only a small group allows (social distancing means there may be even fewer on your ride). Located at the Noosa Marina with a free shuttle service, you can enjoy the Oceanrider tour of your choice and take in the beautiful Noosa coast from a different perspective.

Noosa River fishing adventures

Explore the calm, pristine waters of Noosa River whilst fishing, crabbing and marvelling at the rare native birdlife. With Noosa Fishing & Crab Adventures, you can pull up a few crab pots and taste the legendary Queensland mud crabs or blue swimmer cooked on the boat for you to enjoy while you fish. Explore a different side to Noosa you’ve never seen,  from the back of Hastings Street and Noosa Sound, along Noosaville reaches and Tewantin right up through Lake Cooroibah to Lake Cootharaba.

Unwind in Noosaville

You can have an incredible Noosa weekend with your family without travelling far from your Coco Bay Villa. Coco Bay Resort is a mere 100 metre stroll to the picturesque sandy shores of the Noosa River. You could easily fill a day wondering the Noosaville shopping strip along Gympie Terrace esplanade, dining at one of the many cafes or renown restaurants, or hiring a kayak or stand-up paddle board. The best part of the day is enjoying fish and chips on the grass as the sun sets over the river.
