Peregian Beach Christmas Carols
The 55th Peregian Beach Christmas Carols is a local favourite with hundreds joining for the oldest standing Christmas Carols event on the Sunshine Coast. Peregian Beach Christmas Carols will be held on Sunday 1st December at the Peregian Beach Park just 10 minutes south of Noosa. It wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa, who will be dropping in for a visit during the concert. Gold coin donation per person upon entry. Visit the Facebook event for more details.
Christmas in Cooroy
Christmas in Cooroy is a free community event held in the Noosa hinterland township of Cooroy on the 6th to 7th of December. Celebrations kick off on Friday evening from 6pm with Carols and the lighting of the Ricon Christmas Tree outside the Cooroy RSL at 7pm. The main Christmas in Cooroy events start on Saturday afternoon around Apex Park, opposite the Coory Library sack races, free rides and amusements as well as the hotly contested Santa Race at 4pm – watch as more than 100 Santas race up Maple Street to win a share of over $2000 in prize money! The Bendigo Bank Street Parade starts at 5pm with more than 40 floats decorated in this year’s Christmas in Cooroy theme of Fairytales and Legends. Celebrations continue in Apex Park into the evening with free entertainment carols, live music and fireworks at 7.15pm. Event details
Tewantin Christmas Carnival
If you’re interested in a bit more rock ‘n’ roll than just ‘jingle bells’ then the Tewantin Christmas Carnival might be what you’re looking for. Enjoy carnival rides, food vendors, live entertainment and carols by Contraband, the best party cover band around. A free community event held at Memorial Park on Sunday 8th December from 4pm to 8pm. This year’s event will not include fireworks as it’s dedicated to our local fire fighters, to recognise their hard work in protecting our community this year. Event details
Wassail Christmas Carols with Noosa Chorale
Noosa’s favourite Noosa Chorale ‘Wassail’ is on again for the 12th year at The J Theatre on Friday 13 to 14 December. Sing along with the choir and enjoy the Christmas Cheer with drinks, mince pies and cheese platters in a “cabaret-style” table setting. This year the theme is LOVE and music director Adrian King has lovingly planned a programme of timeless carols and popular Christmas songs to delight and enthral you, including some very special Aussie Christmas carols. Mooloolaba Christmas Boat Parade 2019
There’s nothing more Christmassy than a boat parade. The 16th annual Christmas Boat Parade will light up the waterways of Mooloolaba this year on Saturday 14 December. This wonderful Christmas spectacular will dazzle you as watch the flotilla of boats ornately decorated with tinsel and coloured lights as they stream down the Mooloolah River and Kawana Waters’ canal. For the best viewing, bring the family along to The Wharf, La Balsa Park and other vantage points along the river. Event details
Visit Santa and the Gingerbread Man in one day
From the moment you enter The Ginger Factory, the scent of gingerbread lingers in the air as you’re greeted by our very own giant Santa installation in the piazza. In addition to their iconic fun rides, fascinating tours, and unique retail precinct surrounded by beautiful sub-tropical gardens, during December they have a special visitor in town. Santa will be visiting from the 4th to 24th December and you can take your own photo with Santa for free. Head along to The Ginger Factory on Friday 20th and enjoy Christmas Carols with the Noosa Chorale from 5pm. A great day out for the whole family! Take to the beach
When you think of an Aussie Christmas, what comes to mind? For us, it’s hot summer days, a few cold beers, fresh prawns and mandatory swims. Well, you’re coming to the right place. Here in Noosa we have some of the most pristine and beautiful beaches (just ask us) all you have to do is find your perfect spot. Try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding, hire a surf board and have a play or simply tuck into a good book under an umbrella. There’s nothing more you need to do.
