The IGA Coolum Kite Festival

The IGA Coolum Kite Festival is now in its 9th year and will be held on the 3rd & 4th of October 2009.

The IGA Coolum Kite Festival attracted thousands of spectators last year, which ran for 2 full days including the Saturday night. This year we are having the same format.

The festival is now one of the largest community events to be held on the Sunshine Coast. This event captures what the Coolum Beach lifestyle is all about; Sun, Surf, Beach and healthy outdoor activities.

Kite flyers from around Australia and overseas will again participate in this years event. There will also be a strong element of local and regional school involvement.

This year’s event will again encapture the ideals of Coolum Beach and the Sunshine Coast region.
